As a trainee IT specialist specialising in application development, you will learn how to plan, develop and program software solutions and adapt existing applications. Our focus here is on customer requirements, i.e. the requirements of our company. Of course, you will not only programme software solutions and develop them further, but also test them and instruct users in the operation of the software developed. You will mainly work on projects in a team, be given project responsibility and document the results. During your training, you will be supported by friendly colleagues who you are always welcome to talk to. Your range of tasks will include taking IT security and data protection measures into account.
As part of your training, you will also gain an insight into the specialist area of system integration and familiarise yourself with the structure of the IT world at VAHLE.
The main prerequisites for this apprenticeship are curiosity and a thirst for knowledge. You will certainly have spent some time at home or at school learning about programming languages and doing some initial programming. Conscientiousness, diligence, perseverance and a high degree of pleasure in working independently and on your own responsibility are also an advantage.

Training to become an IT specialist is a so-called dual training programme: You will learn the theoretical basics at Hellweg Berufskolleg in Unna and the practical part at our company. The apprenticeship lasts three years, but can be shortened if you perform well.
