Smart Collector wins Product of the Year award
The unique intelligent current collector wins Materialfluss Reader Award "Product of the Year 2023".
The Smart Collector from Paul Vahle GmbH & Co. KG has been voted "Product of the Year 2023" by readers of the trade magazine Materialfluss. The world's first smart collector takes first place in the category Conveyor Technology and Ident Technology. This isthe first time VAHLE has won the Product of the Year Award.

It is not only a nice award, but also a testament to the innovative strength of our company," says Achim Dries, CEO of the VAHLE Group. The winners of this year's readers' decision were announced at the awards ceremony on May 2. There were 38 companies in a total of five categories.
The Smart Collector from VAHLE prevailed in the category of conveying and identification technology against renowned competition. The smart collector ensures higher system availability and productivity in automated conveying applications. By means of special sensor technology, this innovative solution is able to collect numerous analysis data across the entire conductor rail system. The evaluation of this data allows any anomalies in the track to be precisely assigned to a specific position and eliminated in a targeted manner. In this way, faults can be detected at an early stage and unplanned production downtimes avoided. "With the Smart Collector, users already know today what will happen tomorrow - for efficient and predictive maintenance made by VAHLE," says Dries.
The trade magazine Materialfluss has been organizing the Product of the Year election since 2020. The aim is to help the most exciting and innovative products and projects from intralogistics and logistics gain more attention. The products are nominated in advance by an expert jury for participation in the competition. The key criteria in this context include innovative strength, marketability and benefits for the user. Readers then decide on the winners.
