Smart Collector wins Product of the Year award
Globally unique intelligent current collector wins the Material Flow Reader Award "Product of the Year 2023"
The Smart Collector from Paul Vahle GmbH & Co. KG has been voted "Product of the Year 2023" by readers of the trade magazine Materialfluss. The world's first intelligent current collector took first place in the conveyor and identification technology category. This is the first time VAHLE has won the Product of the Year Award.

It is not only a wonderful award, but also proof of the innovative strength of our company," says Achim Dries, CEO of the VAHLE Group. The winners of this year's readers' choice were announced at the awards ceremony on May 2. There were 38 companies in a total of five categories.
The Smart Collector from VAHLE came out on top in the Conveying and Identification Technology category against well-known competitors. The intelligent current collector ensures higher system availability and productivity in automated conveyor applications. Using a special sensor system, this innovative solution is able to collect a wide range of analysis data across the entire conductor rail system. The evaluation of this data allows any track anomalies to be assigned to a precise position and rectified in a targeted manner. In this way, faults can be detected at an early stage and unplanned production downtimes can be avoided. "With the Smart Collector, users know today what will happen tomorrow - for efficient and predictive maintenance made by VAHLE," says Dries.
The trade magazine Material Flow has been organizing the Product of the Year award since 2020. The aim is to help the most exciting and innovative products and projects in intralogistics and logistics gain more attention. Products are nominated for participation in the competition in advance by an expert jury. Decisive criteria in this context include innovative strength, marketability and benefits for the user. The readers then decide on the winners.
