Mobile cranes, gantry systems and large industrial equipment often require reliable transmission of power, control signals and additional media across long travel distances. For heavy cable loads and extended runway lengths, motorized cable reel systems provide a controlled and efficient cable management solution.

VAHLE motorized cable reel systems are engineered for demanding applications in ports, steel mills, environmental facilities and heavy industrial plants. The integrated slip ring assembly enables reliable transmission of power, control, data and video signals, with optional fiber optic integration.

In addition to electrical cables, corrosion-protected reel bodies can incorporate rotary feedthroughs for hoses used in the transfer of gases or liquids. Depending on application requirements, winding can be cylindrical or spiral.

Motorized cable reels are particularly suitable for long-travel gantry cranes and for retrofitting container handling systems where precise cable management is critical.
