The U10 and FABA100 insulated conductor rail systems are designed for light-duty indoor industrial applications requiring safe, reliable power and data transmission. Rated up to 100 Amps, these contact-protected conductor rails are widely used in electrified monorail systems (EMS) and automated shuttle systems in industrial production and automotive manufacturing lines.
The U10 was developed in the 1980s with the emergence of the electrified monorail system. Today, the U10 and FABA100 are particularly suited for controlled indoor environments where safety, compact installation and low-maintenance operation are priorities.
The U10 features individually insulated conductor profiles that allow flexible pole configurations with integrated contact protection for safe operation. Its compact installation footprint makes it ideal for complex track layouts, including tight curves and suspended or lateral mounting. Reverse polarity protection via a specially shaped protective conductor helps prevent unintended vehicle electrification.
The U10 conductor rail can be integrated as part of a VAHLE vSystem solution. vSystem combines the U10 for power transmission with APOS Optic positioning, SMGM data transmission, DCS control and the Smart Collector System for diagnostics.
The FABA100 complements the U10 with simplified connector technology for fast installation and easy system extensions. It is particularly suited for applications where reverse polarity protection is not required.
Both systems are UL-certified and integrate with VAHLE data, positioning and control technologies to create a coordinated electrification solution for modern automation environments.
