Industrial automation increasingly demands compact energy transmission solutions for mobile equipment operating in confined spaces. In automated storage systems, shuttle applications and production lines such as automotive skillet systems, installation space is often extremely limited. For years, the space-saving VKS has been used by leading suppliers of automation technology as a standard solution.
The VKS compact conductor rail system was developed specifically for applications with minimal available space. Its ultra-flat profile allows it to be integrated into narrow installation areas while still supporting up to six poles for the transmission of drive power, control currents and additional signals.
Despite its compact dimensions, the VKS features a robust extruded housing and a wide power range, making it suitable for a variety of automated systems. The contact-protected design can be installed laterally, suspended or vertically, with straight or curved track configurations.
In combination with the VAHLE Multi-Carrier (VMT), the VKS enables integrated positioning systems and secure mechanical protection. The system has proven reliable even in heavily contaminated environments and deep-freeze warehouse conditions.
