Automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS) rely on stacker cranes to handle vertical and horizontal storage in high-bay warehouses. Stacker cranes can be guided in one or more lanes and move in three directions along their longitudinal, transverse or vertical axis. They either operate in aisles or serve the entire warehouse with the aid of a switch system. These systems must operate with speed, reliability and minimal tolerance for downtime.
As automated high-bay warehouses in North America generally operate around the clock, the storage and retrieval machines must be available at all times. The SMGM enables the integration of interference-free data transmission. The communication takes place in a shielded aluminum profile, the so-called slotted waveguide, so that no interference or any influence on other communication systems in the environment must be taken into account. Due to its ultra compact design, it can be easily integrated into almost all common EMS profiles and systems.
The VKS10 was specially developed for intralogistics and enables the transmission of drive power, control currents and other signals.

The shielded slotted waveguide enables high transmission rates and prevents unwanted interference signals from inside or outside.

The VKS was developed for small installation arms and can be assigned up to six poles. This means that the system can also transmit control currents and other signals in addition to the drive power.
The low-maintenance U10 and FABA100 are proven means of power and data transmission for a wide range of transportation applications and can be flexibly adapted to almost any track layout.
The lightweight types U15, U25 and U35 are particularly easy to maintain thanks to their open design. Thanks to different conductor materials, they are also particularly flexible to install.
