Spring cable reel systems provide reliable power, data and fluid transmission for mobile industrial equipment operating over short- to medium-travel distances. They are commonly used in crane systems, construction equipment, platform technology and intralogistics applications where automatic cable management is required without the need for an external drive system.

Mechanically driven by durable steel spiral leaf springs, VAHLE spring cable reels automatically wind and unwind cables and hoses as equipment moves. The self-contained spring mechanism ensures controlled retraction while maintaining consistent cable tension.

These systems are suitable for transmitting electrical power, control signals and additional media such as compressed air, hydraulic fluids or gases. Comprehensive corrosion protection enables operation in demanding industrial environments.

VAHLE spring cable reel systems comply with VDE and accident prevention (UVV) regulations. Numerous standard versions are available for rapid delivery, and custom drum dimensions can be configured to meet specific application requirements. Installation is possible in horizontal or vertical orientation on either side of the equipment.
