Paul Vahle GmbH & Co. KG has obtained ISO/IEC 27001 certification. This confirms that the Kamen-based company has firmly established information security in all its business processes and guarantees the highest standards of protection for sensitive data.
"For us, information security is not an isolated IT issue, but an integral part of our corporate management," says Beatrice von Buchwaldt, CFO of Paul Vahle GmbH & Co. KG. "The ISO/IEC 27001 certification shows that we identify, assess and manage risks in a structured and sustainable manner."
The certified scope covers research and development, testing, manufacturing, sales and service of power supply and data transmission systems as well as components for mobile consumers. The audit was conducted by the accredited certification company DQS GmbH. The project started in January 2025 and currently applies to the headquarters in Kamen; the Schwoich site is also planned for the future.
In view of increasing cyber threats and regulatory requirements, risk-based information security management is becoming strategically important. The implemented ISMS integrates technical, organisational and personnel measures and follows a continuous improvement process.
For customers and business partners, the certification creates additional transparency and security, especially for sensitive development projects and internationally networked system solutions. "In addition to technological excellence, our customers also expect professional and transparent handling of confidential information," emphasises Buchwaldt, adding: "The certification reduces risks at interfaces, increases process reliability in projects and strengthens trust in our cooperation."
The international standard ISO/IEC 27001 defines requirements for the systematic identification, assessment and treatment of information security risks. Certified companies commit to a structured management approach that continuously analyses risks, implements appropriate protective measures and regularly reviews their effectiveness.
With this successful certification, the world's leading system provider for mobile industrial applications is underlining its commitment to establishing information security as an integral part of its governance and compliance structures in the long term.
