Borussia Dortmund as a guest at VAHLE in Kamen
A prominent visit to VAHLE: BVB Managing Director Carsten Cramer and Thomas Joos, Vice President at SPORTFIVE, were guests at the company headquarters in Kamen today. At the invitation of Achim Dries, CEO of the VAHLE Group, they discussed joint topics and possible co-operations.
" VAHLE and BVB are two traditional players in the Ruhr region with strong regional roots. We may be separated by our colours, but we are united by our common origins and our focus on the future," says Achim Dries. "Initial discussions have already shown that there are numerous parallels and potential points of contact, whether in partnerships or regional involvement."
The contact was established in the spring of this year during the NRW delegation trip to Abu Dhabi, in which both Carsten Cramer and Achim Dries took part as part of the delegation of NRW Minister President Hendrik Wüst. A lively exchange developed there, which has now been continued in the heart of the Ruhr region.
The meeting focussed on personal exchange and the close regional ties between the two institutions. Ideas for joint initiatives and possible areas of cooperation worldwide were also discussed.
Carsten Cramer, Managing Director of Borussia Dortmund, emphasised the parallels: "VAHLE and Borussia Dortmund are firmly rooted in the region. It is particularly impressive how VAHLE, as a company from the Ruhr region, successfully markets its innovative technologies worldwide."
A special detail: VAHLE's historic "original production site" is located just a few kilometres from the BVB training facility in Dortmund-Brackel - a symbol of the neighbourhood and common roots.
The visit to Kamen laid the foundation for closer co-operation.
