VAHLE celebrates 111 years of entrepreneurship
VAHLE celebrated 111 years of successful company history last Friday
Paul Vahle GmbH & Co KG, one of the world's leading manufacturers in the field of energy and automation solutions for mobile applications, celebrated an impressive anniversary last Friday (08.09.2023) at the Erlebnisreich Campus in Lünen: 111 years of successful entrepreneurship.
The company, which was founded in 1912 by Paul Vahle and whose solutions have raised industrial production and in-plant mobility to a new level, celebrated a special anniversary with around 650 guests: the invention of the conductor rail 111 years ago and its associated founding. In addition to guests from the worlds of business, society and politics, such as Kamen Mayor Elke Kappen and District Administrator Mario Löhr, numerous employees and their partners as well as the family of shareholders, now in the fourth generation to steer the company's fortunes, naturally came to the Erlebnisreich Campus in Lünen.
In the heartfelt opening speeches that kicked off the festive event, special emphasis was placed on the company's extraordinary history and its importance for the region. The anniversary celebration was officially opened by founder-grandson Werner Vahle with a look behind the scenes. In their greetings, Mayor Elke Kappen and District Administrator Mario Löhr then spoke about the company's outstanding role as an employer and innovation driver for the region and industry. Finally, VAHLE CEO Achim Dries opened the celebration with his words.
"Together, we are not only celebrating 111 years of successful history, but are also looking forward with even greater joy to what lies ahead for our company," said Managing Director Achim Dries. "Our past and the pioneering work done by our predecessors fills us with pride. Our aspiration today is to continue to actively shape the future with innovative developments."
The highlight of the evening was the impressive show program. Artists in luminous LED suits offered spectacular dance and drum performances on the darkened stage. An impressive mapping show, in which an artist performed interactively to a video with VAHLE elements, caused particular excitement. A live band and a DJ also ensured a great atmosphere and a full dance floor until the early hours of the morning.
The festivities were accompanied by a diverse culinary offering served from food trucks. From tarte flambée to pasta in a parmesan loaf to vegan dishes, there was something for every taste. Even the currywurst at midnight, famous at parties in the "Pott", was not missing.
To ensure that all guests could get home safely, VAHLE had organized its own shuttle service to the company premises in Kamen or to Kamen main station.
