VAHLE launches the compact and powerful conductor system VCL
Paul Vahle GmbH & Co. KG introduces the new modular compact conductor line VCL (VAHLE COMPACT LINE) to the global market. The VCL was designed as an all-in-one solution for shuttle systems, automated small parts warehouses (AS/RS) and storage and retrieval machines (SRM) as well as for compact transfer car applications in the small and medium capacity range.

We provide the basis for this with innovative products for safe signal and power supply such as our new VAHLE COMPACT LINE safety compact conductor system - VCL for short," says Rüdiger Jour, Product Manager at the VAHLE Group. With its modular and compact design, the solution is specifically designed for use in shuttle systems, miniload and AS/RS applications, as well as transfer car applications in the small and medium power range.
"It stands out from other systems especially due to its modularity, scalability and ease of installation," Jour emphasizes. According to the application, the VCL can be individually configured, making it a multifunctional solution in the continuous power supply of logistics applications that ensures maximum system availability. Available in 2- to 6-pole configurations, the VCL meets power requirements ranging from 40 amps with a galvanized steel conductor to up to 100 amps with a copper conductor, and voltages ranging from 12 to 500 volts. In addition, the VCL is compatible with VAHLE's proven multi-carrier (VMT). The combination of conductor system and multi-carrier creates an inexpensive and compact solution for a wide variety of bearing technology applications with large suspension distances of up to 3.5 meters.
Another advantage is that the simple and fast assembly using clip technology and the low component diversity keep installation costs low. Particularly long-life current collectors also avoid high expenses for maintenance and servicing, which reduces the total costs of ownership (TCO). VAHLE thus offers a cost-effective and scalable solution for demanding applications such as multi-channel eCommerce. The ultra-compact design even allows uncomplicated installation within a shuttle track. As with all VAHLE products, safety is the top priority with the VCL: IP2x contact protection (finger protection and protection against foreign bodies) and an optional PE protective earth conductor guarantee trouble-free and accident-free operation.
