Key technologies for sustainable processes - VAHLE in exchange with Green politician Michael Sacher (MdB)
On January 8, 2025, the VAHLE headquarters on Westicker Straße in Kamen was the venue for a productive meeting between Michael Sacher, Member of the German Bundestag for the districts of Unna and Hamm, and Achim Dries, CEO of the VAHLE Group. The discussion focused on the role of energy and data transmission solutions as key technologies for a forward-looking industry. Not only was the importance of sustainable systems from the Kamen-based hidden champion for automation emphasized, but VAHLE's regional activities were also discussed.
"With our innovative solutions, we are setting standards in energy and data transmission and are already making a significant contribution to the sustainable transformation of industry," explained Achim Dries, Managing Director of the globally active VAHLE Group. As a leading supplier of energy and data transmission systems, VAHLE offers solutions that are successfully used in numerous industries such as port logistics, automation and intralogistics. There was a particular focus on the role of zero-emission technologies, which VAHLE is actively promoting in various sectors such as port technology. There was also an exchange of views on future technologies such as direct current technology, which will make a significant contribution to increasing energy efficiency in industrial applications in the future.
"It was a very informative meeting that gave us the opportunity to explain our vision and progress in implementing sustainable technologies in more detail," Dries continues. "With our solutions, we are not only making an active contribution to reducing emissions, but also promoting long-term energy efficiency, which is crucial for the industry."
Another key topic of discussion was the planned construction of the new VAHLE Campus, which is due to be completed by 2027. This significant investment project will not only strengthen the regional economy, but will also provide a sustainable boost for the region in and around Kamen. The new VAHLE Campus will include a modern administration building and state-of-the-art production facilities that will set new standards in conductor rail production and the associated system elements.
"It is impressive to see how VAHLE is taking on a pioneering role in terms of innovation and sustainability, while at the same time contributing to the economic and ecological development of the region," said Michael Sacher, Member of the German Bundestag.
The discussion once again highlighted the importance of dialog between politics and business in order to work together on solutions that are important for both the economy and society and thus set the course for making a sustainable contribution to the future.
