VAHLE presents pioneering solutions for sustainable terminal automation at TOC Europe 2025

VAHLE will be showcasing intelligent systems for communication, energy transmission and automation at TOC Europe 2025. At booth C26, the Kamen-based company will also be showcasing battery storage systems on RTG cranes that enable completely emission-free operation.
Kamen, May 22, 2025 - Paul Vahle GmbH & Co. KG will be presenting advanced solutions for efficient and sustainable energy transmission and automation in terminal operations at this year's TOC Europe in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, from June 17 to 19. The system provider for mobile industrial applications will be presenting technological concepts designed to increase energy efficiency in port terminals and reduce CO2 emissions in the long term. The trade fair presentation will focus on systems for communication, energy supply and automation, such as the Trimotion Compact solution for rugger type gantry cranes (RTGs), concepts for implementing net-zero targets and technologies for the automated charging of electric truck fleets in the terminal.
"Port terminals are increasingly evolving from pure transshipment points into digital high-tech centers. With our solutions, we are paving the way for emission-free, networked and efficient terminal operations," says Jaroslaw Warzecha, Director Business Unit Port at the VAHLE Group. The Kamen-based company is playing a pioneering role in the development of sustainable technologies in the maritime industry.
One highlight at the trade fair stand is the Trimotion Compact system for fully electric, automated and remote-controlled rubber-tyred gantry cranes (RTG). Thanks to its lightweight design and plug-and-play installation, it enables rapid integration into existing and new terminal systems. "By using fewer standardized components, both the supply chain and delivery times are optimized. Trimotion Compact also increases operational reliability," says Warzecha. Positioning and communication modules can also be easily retrofitted. If the VAHLE system is equipped with positioning and communication modules, control is carried out via the operator desk. The power supply connection is also fully automatic.
Another focus is on VAHLE's Green Port Solutions. These include various technologies for achieving climate-neutral port infrastructures. These include, for example, advanced electrical energy transmission systems, high-precision automation solutions that guarantee completely secure data transmission. Particularly noteworthy here are VAHLE's battery storage solutions for RTGs, which enable emission-free crane operation. "A key step towards CO2-neutral ports," emphasizes Warzecha. The system provider not only supports customers technically, but also in the planning and development of port projects. In addition, VAHLE will be providing insights into future concepts for eTruck Charging, including intelligent charging infrastructure for entire vehicle fleets.
Visitors to TOC Europe 2025, one of the world's leading trade fairs for port, ship and terminal technology, will find VAHLE at booth C56. "Our vision is to create a fully automated and sustainable port. We invite everyone to come and see our solutions for themselves," says Warzecha.
