14 trainees start their careers at VAHLE
At the start of the new training year, VAHLE today welcomed 14 new trainees. Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, the Kamen-based company is thus sticking to the promotion of young talent as planned. Due to the applicable contact restrictions, however, the introductory days will take place under special conditions. In addition, much of the introduction and event content is conducted digitally.
"Companies invest in their future through good promotion of young talent. We are pleased that 14 young people starting their careers with us today," says Achim Dries, Managing Director of Paul Vahle GmbH & Co. KG. In order to comply with the applicable distance regulations and to protect everyone's health, special precautions were necessary for this this year. For example, the trainees began their first day of work in two separate groups, and in addition, much of the event content is taught digitally and via video. Accepting the more difficult conditions and organizational hurdles was a matter of course for Mr. Dries: "Despite the unusual situation, we want to give the young people as normal and successful a start to their careers as possible."
The 14 apprentices will learn nine different professions at VAHLE. Thus, the group consists of three prospective industrial clerks with EU qualification, two industrial mechanics, one metal technology specialist, one production mechanic who was taken on after one year of entry qualification due to excellent performance, two technical product designers, two warehouse specialists, one GS electronics technician, one GS industrial electrician and one digital and print media designer.
