The aim of the Whistleblower Protection Act (HinSchG) is to protect employees who, in the course of their professional activities, obtain information about violations and report this anonymously or openly without fear of reprisals. To this end, the HinSchG obliges companies to set up secure channels for reporting misconduct.
For this reason, VAHLE, as a company with generally more than 50 employees, has implemented this reporting channel in a timely and proper manner in order to comply with the legal requirements under the HinSchG.
The whistleblower system offers a secure system for reporting compliance violations at VAHLE in accordance with HinSchG and is an important component of the compliance management system. There, you can submit information about existing, potential, or imminent misconduct relating to VAHLE or our supply chain.
The whistleblower system is available to all VAHLE employees as well as customers, suppliers, and any other persons who are or were in contact with VAHLE due to their professional activities and who wish to report legal violations committed in the course of professional or business activities for VAHLE.
Please note that the whistleblowing system is intended for reporting specific compliance violations (see examples below), but not for submitting general complaints.
Ombudsperson
Dr. Andreas Grüter, lawyer and notary public in Duisburg, acts as external ombudsman for the reporting office, receives reports, and treats all reports confidentially. In doing so, it preserves the anonymity of the person making the report—even if they voluntarily disclose their identity.
