VAHLE is kicking off the 2026 training year with 14 new trainees: at the Kamen site, these young professionals are embarking on their careers across a total of nine apprenticeship programmes and one dual study programme.

Kamen, 26 August 2026 – Paul Vahle GmbH & Co. KG is today welcoming 14 new apprentices to its site in Kamen. The new recruits will first take part in a four-day induction programme before beginning their apprenticeships in nine different trades. These include technical product design, electronics for industrial engineering, manufacturing and machining mechanics, and IT specialism for application development. The new intake also includes trainee industrial clerks, a warehouse specialist and an industrial electrician specialising in equipment and systems. One young talent is starting a dual degree programme in IT specialising in system integration. During the induction days, the new employees get to know the company, the training programme, their rights and responsibilities, and their future colleagues.

“The start of the training programme is an important milestone in two respects: for the young people, it marks the beginning of their professional future. At the same time, it offers us the chance to nurture committed talent, develop them into qualified specialists and, where possible, retain them at VAHLE beyond the training period,” says Kathrina Adelsberger, Head of the Training & Education Department at Paul Vahle GmbH & Co. KG.

To ensure a successful start, the Kamen-based systems provider is once again organising a multi-day induction programme this year. The programme kicked off today with an official welcome from training manager Kathrina Adelsberger, the trainers and COO Henning Stelte. The new recruits then received an introduction to the company’s history and structure. The joint lunch provided an opportunity for everyone to get to know one another. The first day concluded with briefings on health and safety and fire safety. Over the coming days, the trainees can look forward to a varied programme featuring a company treasure hunt, a trainee etiquette session, information on their rights and responsibilities during their training, department-specific introductions led by the trainers, and an introduction to the IT systems.

VAHLE’s new intake of trainees comprises three trainee industrial business administrators, three production mechanics, two electronics technicians for industrial engineering, and one trainee each in the following vocational training programmes: technical product designer, warehouse specialist, industrial electrician (equipment and systems), machining mechanic and IT specialist for application development. In addition, there is one dual-study student in the field of IT for system integration.

A particular highlight of the induction phase is the annual trainee outing on 1 September: on Tuesday, trainees from all cohorts meet at the Schwerte climbing park to chat in a relaxed atmosphere and bond as a team. “The outing is a highlight every year that our apprentices look back on fondly. It fosters a sense of community and makes it easier to settle into an exciting new phase,” says Adelsberger.
