VAHLE Welcomes 14 New Apprentices
VAHLE is kicking off the 2026 training year with 14 new trainees: At the Kamen location, these young professionals are beginning their careers in a total of nine apprenticeship programs and one dual degree program.
Kamen, August 26, 2026 – Paul Vahle GmbH & Co. KG is welcoming 14 new apprentices to its Kamen location today. The new recruits will first participate in a four-day orientation program before beginning their apprenticeships in nine different occupational fields. These include technical product design, electronics for industrial engineering, manufacturing and machining mechanics, and IT for application development. The new cohort also includes aspiring industrial business administrators, a warehouse specialist, and an industrial electrician specializing in equipment and systems. One promising young talent is starting a dual degree program in IT for system integration. During the orientation days, the new employees will get to know the company, the training process, their rights and responsibilities, and their future colleagues.
“The start of the training program is an important milestone in two respects: For these young people, it marks the beginning of their professional future. At the same time, it offers us the opportunity to nurture committed talent, develop them into qualified specialists, and, if possible, retain them at VAHLE beyond their apprenticeship,” says Kathrina Adelsberger, Head of the Training & Education Department at Paul Vahle GmbH & Co. KG.
To ensure a successful start, the Kamen-based systems provider is once again organizing a multi-day orientation program this year. The program kicked off today with an official welcome from Training Manager Kathrina Adelsberger, the trainers, and COO Henning Stelte. The new trainees then received an introduction to the company’s history and structure. During a group lunch, the focus was on getting to know one another. The first day concluded with instruction on workplace safety and fire safety. In the coming days, the trainees can look forward to a varied program featuring a company scavenger hunt, a trainee etiquette session, information on their rights and responsibilities during their training, department-specific introductions led by the trainers, and an introduction to the IT systems.
VAHLE’s new training cohort consists of three aspiring industrial business administrators, three manufacturing mechanics, two electronics technicians for industrial engineering, and one trainee each in the following trades: technical product designer, warehouse specialist, Industrial Electrician for Equipment and Systems, Machining Mechanic, and IT Specialist for Application Development. In addition, there is one dual-track student in the field of IT for System Integration.
A special highlight of the introductory phase is the annual trainee outing on September 1: On Tuesday, trainees from all cohorts will meet at the Schwerte Climbing Forest to chat in a relaxed atmosphere and bond as a team. “The outing is a highlight every year that our trainees fondly remember. It fosters camaraderie and makes it easier to get started on an exciting journey,” says Adelsberger.
