Premiere: VAHLE exhibits for the first time at InnoTrans in Berlin

Paul Vahle GmbH & Co. KG is traveling to this year's InnoTrans in Berlin with innovative solutions for the green passenger transport of the future. The system provider for mobile industrial applications will be presenting the newly developed AEC 100 N underfloor charging module for the first time at the international trade fair for transport technology. With this new form of opportunity charging, battery-powered city streetcars, for example, can be charged safely and effectively. The Kamen-based company will also be presenting its strategic partnership with the Munich-based start-up OTTOBAHN GmbH, for whose gondola system VAHLE is supplying its U25 conductor rail.

"The future of passenger transportation is electric. That is why we have developed an innovative underfloor charging module for the so-called People Mover, which makes overhead lines superfluous. We are delighted to be able to present our high-performance charging solution for Citytrams exclusively to the public at InnoTrans in Berlin," says Achim Dries, CEO of the VAHLE Group. With the latest new development from VAHLE, battery-powered streetcars and e-buses can be charged quickly and effectively at bus stops. Installation in the ground means that neither a pantograph nor an above-ground cable is required. With opportunity charging, VAHLE is opening up new possibilities in the development of autonomous passenger transport, contributing to the transformation of cities into smart cities and providing a major part of the necessary transport revolution - whether in modern metropolitan areas such as Sydney or historic cities such as Zaragoza.

Together with the start-up OTTOBAHN GmbH from Bavaria, the technology pioneer is also showcasing another innovation for urban areas: an autonomous gondola system for urban passenger transportation. A test track is currently being built near Munich and is scheduled to open in 2023. VAHLE is supporting the project with its expertise and is ensuring that the energy supply is guaranteed at all times with its U25 conductor rail. "With our U25, we have a standard solution in our portfolio that is also used in crane systems or in automotive construction. This model is characterized in particular by its low sliding resistance, which results in a high level of comfort for guests and a convincing cost-benefit factor," says Dries.

At InnoTrans, which takes place from September 20 to 23, 2022 at Messe Berlin, VAHLE can be found together with OTTOBAHN GmbH in Hall 9 at Stand 351.
