VAHLE Cleanup Day
Environmental action day a complete success. Around 20 trainees and trainers ensure cleanliness and tidiness around the company premises in Kamen.
Around 20 trainees and trainers from Paul Vahle GmbH & Co KG ensured that the company premises in Kamen were clean and tidy on March 28. The VAHLE Cleanup Day will now take place annually at the Kamen-based specialist for energy and automation solutions.
Last Tuesday, VAHLE held its Cleanup Day to clear the environment of garbage and set an example against environmental pollution. Apprentices and trainers took part in this day and diligently lent a hand in the surroundings of the largest industrial company in Kamen.
The original plan was to carry out a clean-up campaign in December. However, due to poor weather conditions, it was not possible to carry out an outdoor campaign. Fortunately, this day of action could finally take place.
Training manager Kathrina Adelsberger emphasized that environmental protection and the climate are important issues for everyone, which is why we were happy to take part in the campaign.
The 20 or so young people were divided into four groups and collected garbage and litter in the area around the company headquarters in Kamen.
The result of the three-hour campaign: 17 bin bags full of garbage!
"It's really unfortunate to find so much litter right next to garbage cans," says Head of Training Kathrina Adelsberger. In view of the fact that so much garbage was found around our company, this day of action is now a fixed date in the calendar and will be continued next year.
