Enabler for emission-free parking garage system

The background

DOKK1 in Aarhus, Denmark, is Scandinavia's largest and most modern library. In addition to its impressive architecture and diverse cultural offerings, DOKK1 offers an innovative, environmentally friendly parking garage that significantly improves the visitor experience. The parking system is based on a fully automated parking and pick-up service and is a prime example of sustainable mobility solutions that combine user comfort with ecological benefits.

The challenge

Lödige Industries, a leading global supplier of intralogistics systems and elevator solutions, approached VAHLE as a system integrator in search of a sustainable and reliable energy transmission solution for the newly planned parking system in the DOKK1 parking lot. The challenge was to find a solution that not only met the high technical standards, but was also durable and emission-free. The aim was to develop a system that would make the parking and collection process efficient and at the same time ensure environmental friendliness and noise reduction.

Our solution

By using VAHLE U25 conductor rails in Lödige Industries' automated parking system, an emission-free and energy-efficient parking solution could be realized. Our technology enables a quiet and efficient parking process and at the same time makes an important contribution to climate protection.

The project is an example of sustainable intralogistics solutions and underlines VAHLE's role as an enabler of sustainability. By implementing our technology, Lödige Industries was able to realize a durable, environmentally friendly and low-noise parking system.
