Planning industrial plants in times of home office and contact restrictions seems absurd at first. At Paul Vahle GmbH & Co. KG, this is possible from the comfort of your home office via the tried-and-tested "VAHLE Customer Hub" customer portal, which is equipped with new functions. This does not even require ERP access.
The VAHLE online store is an efficient solution for placing orders or even planning entire systems. Customers of the system provider for mobile industrial applications can use the Customer Hub to configure VAHLE systems and order components for the electrification of their systems. A recent upgrade has increased the user-friendliness of the user interface. Other new features include the ability to track shipments, easily reorder spare parts without having to search for items in advance and download 3D CAD models in stp format.
The "Customer Hub" project planning and shopping tool offers customers the opportunity to place orders without access to the company's internal ERP system. More than 50,000 items are available to customers online, which can be ordered individually or combined into systems. The project planning tool then automatically generates the material list, calculation and quotation. "Our web store is a customer portal that bundles all the information and calculations relevant to ordering electrification solutions in one online application," says Achim Dries, Managing Director of Paul Vahle GmbH & Co. After registering and logging in via an Internet browser, customers can use the tool around the clock. "This gives them access to the VAHLE range 24 hours a day," says Dries.
Not only can all project planning be saved and viewed in the individual customer area, but spare parts can also be reordered quickly and easily based on previous orders without having to search for items beforehand. Digital shipment tracking is also possible. CAD models are available as downloads in stp format for various product groups. Other features such as article search, overview of availability and standard delivery times as well as project planning with and without electrical calculation are also possible. The order is transmitted to the VAHLE ERP system via an interface and processed directly.
