VAHLE optimizes its webshop and turns it into a customer hub
Paul Vahle GmbH & Co. KG has added new functions to its tried-and-tested customer portal "VAHLE Customer Hub". Both an ordering platform and an intelligent online project planning tool, the browser-based application is an innovative alternative to the usual e-catalog. Customers of the system provider for mobile industrial applications can use it to configure VAHLE systems and order components for the electrification of their systems.
Kamen, October 15, 2019 - Since the upgrade, the user interface has become more user-friendly. Other new features include the ability to track shipments, easily reorder spare parts without having to search for items in advance and download 3D CAD models in stp format.
"Our web store is no longer just a simple shopping tool, it is a customer portal that bundles all the information and calculations relevant to ordering electrification solutions in one online application," says Achim Dries, Managing Director of Paul Vahle GmbH & Co. After registering and logging in via an Internet browser, customers can use the tool around the clock. More than 50,000 items - from insulated to open and compact to safety conductor rails as well as many other systems such as charging contacts - are available to customers. They can either be ordered individually or combined into systems. The project planning tool then automatically generates the material list, calculation and quotation.
When revising the web store, VAHLE placed particular emphasis on improving performance and user-friendliness. "We have increased design freedom and flexibility and made it easier to order spare parts. The focus was clearly on user-friendliness," says Dries.
From now on, all project planning can not only be saved and viewed in the individual customer area, but spare parts can also be reordered on the basis of previous orders without having to search for items beforehand. Digital shipment tracking is also possible. CAD models are available for various product groups, which can then be downloaded in stp format. The previous features such as article search, overview of availability and standard delivery times as well as project planning with and without electrical calculation are still available.
