VAHLE enters into strategic partnership with CoreTigo
Paul Vahle GmbH & Co. KG has entered into a strategic partnership with CoreTigo. Together with the leading manufacturer in the field of high-availability, wireless communication systems for automation technology, the Kamen-based company is arming itself for the increasing demands of the packaging machine industry. By combining its inductive power transmission systems with CoreTigo's IO-Link wireless components, VAHLE will be able to offer an even more comprehensive range of products and services for system integrators and manufacturers of packaging machines and production lines.
"We want to improve our range of services not only by further developing our own products, but also by providing our customers with a comprehensive overall package through targeted strategic partnerships," says Achim Dries, CEO of the VAHLE Group. To this end, the Kamen-based system provider for mobile industrial applications will be working with the Israeli manufacturer of IO-Link wireless technologies, CoreTigo, in future. "The wireless real-time communication systems from CoreTigo are an ideal addition to our inductive energy supply solutions and significantly expand VAHLE's portfolio of system solutions," explains Dries.
The advantages of the joint solution from VAHLE and CoreTigo can be seen in the numerous stages of machine design, machine production, machine construction and by the plant operators. For example, an increase in production capacity is achieved through simultaneous assembly processes while the product carriers are in motion. Furthermore, a wide range of packaging variants (size, weight, shape, material) can be used efficiently on a single packaging machine. This means that changeover times between different packaging types can be significantly reduced or eliminated completely. At the same time, the space requirements of the machines/systems are reduced by using these technologies, as fewer cables and external robots are needed. The permanent machine and process analysis, based on the available real-time data, enables preventive maintenance to avoid downtimes and increases the availability of the machines.
Through this cooperation, VAHLE is primarily addressing the factory automation sector. "We can offer considerable added value with IO-Link Wireless, especially for manufacturers of packaging machines who require a highly available communication solution with low latency times and deterministic behavior for the real-time control and monitoring of their systems," says the CEO. At the end of March, VAHLE and CoreTigo held a joint webinar on the topic of "Empowering Motion: Wireless Data & Contactless Power for Sensors and Actuators". In the long term, this system solution will also be extended to other markets. "The strategic partnership with CoreTigo will enable us to respond even faster to the dynamic requirements in various automation areas. Customers in various sectors will benefit from this," emphasizes Dries.
Joint product presentations and trade fair appearances are also planned.
